I'm a retired Clinical Engineer, living in rural North West Devon, UK.
My photographic interests are (mainly) wildlife, birds and flowers, though I enjoy most areas of the hobby.
Photographic Kit
I've long used Nikon cameras, starting with a Nikon FE film SLR. Currently I use:
D500 - DX SLR, with excellent low-light performance, fast continuous shooting and outstanding autofocus;
D7100 - DX SLR, great results, 24MP, lighter and simpler than the D500
Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 DX, 'standard' zoom
Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 DX VR, a great 'walking around' lens, not as sharp as the 17-55, but useful
Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII, an absolutely brilliant lens
Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 - Macro
Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 - great long zoom, with VR.
